Have an enjoyable weekend with your beloved family. See below . . . . . . I am enjoying the moment . . . . . .

Hey, We have all done it!
We sit for hours in front of our PCs searching, submitting and scrutinizing, while the very freedom we are building a home business to achieve, dwindles to stolen moments in between search engine submissions.
I can be almost certain that from the very moment you got your first check in the mail that you became hooked on the idea of working entirely from home. So much so that everything else in your life has had to take a back seat while you build your dream.
Having a dream and pursuing it is a very noble concept but when our home and family life suffers because of it then it can become a big problem.
It doesn’t have to be this way.
Here are a number of points that may help you in keeping a balance.
1. Discipline yourself - When it comes to the amount of time you spend building and running your online enterprise. Set a time limit and don’t stray over it.
2. Don’t drop or cut down on family activities because of your business. For instance don’t stop taking your kids swimming because you want to learn how to build a website.
3. Help in the house chores when they need to be done. The last thing you want to do is alienate your spouse when they are probably already very skeptical of your new found enthusiasm in all things in the cyberworld.
4. Get the family involved where possible. Show them what exactly it is you are doing and explain to them that your ultimate goal is to earn enough money working at home to be able to spend more time with them.
5. Don’t forget to splash out on the family when you eventually start to earn some cash from your online ventures. My wife and children became a believer when they saw some extra money on the table. Well who wouldn’t
?
I am hopeful you have gotten the gist of this article, get your priorities right and ensure that everyone is as happy and enthusiastic in your striving for financial freedom as you are.

Work From Home

1I feel self motivation can actually be one of the hardest things when working from home. It’s easy to ‘take a day off’ or ’start after dinner’. I often remember what I’m actually aiming for, ultimately, and this gets me motivated again.

3You are right indeed. My family is behind me all the way. They are the reason for me to be motivated all these years. Thanks to all.

4To be honest, my dad and sister have their own successful jobs, so whilst I keep them updated in what I’m doing, I like to have my personal life and business, kind of separate.
When business ever stresses me out, going out with my mates is a way of ‘getting away from it all’ and then I’m ready to get back working again the day after.

5I find self motivation the hardest part about working at home. But been a single parent I just think of my son and that does the trick.
I also agree with your your 5 points. I think if people read them carefully and follow the, they will find there route to success

6Yes im going to have to agree on that self motivation point from work from home. Motivation comes into play with everything from exercise to work.

7This is spot on advice! I have been having these very temptations with my home business - struggling to keep up with chores, family obligations and the like - trying to get my family involved. People think that running a home business is an ideal lifestyle, but they aren’t taking into account what it’s like the start up phase. It can be more stressful and taxing on the family than going to an office every day.

Guys, it must have balance between working at home, running your business and family matters. When we balance them up things will get into places and we certainly work to the true potential until success is attainable.
Perserverance is another factor in doing an online business similar to having a conventional business. Only online it is easier to do and less capital involve.
You must enjoy doing it!

9Thanks a million, I find myself getting caught up in my work, but it takes me reading your post to back off a little and enjoy the things that are most important to me. My family.

10You are right, Bobby. Let us always have this thought in our mind. What do we work for daily? It is for the family. They have sacrifice more for us. So we must have more time for them. Balance it between work and family will do you wonders. Have a great day, Bobby.
Thanks for visiting.

11It can be hard to be disciplined when you work at home with so many distractions around you from family, tv, errands, etc. I find it important to set myself a schedule so that I still have time for my family in the evening. The whole point of working from home for me is to spend more time with them. Your advice is right and a good reminder for work at home folks to stick to a good schedule.

12I have to add a reverse view to your point number one. There are some who get up, have their breakfast, look at newspaper, tidy the house etc. and only get to work near lunch time. It is equally important to set a time that you ‘get to the office’ and don’t stray much from that. Self discipline (as you mention) is the most difficult aspect.

13I agree, motivation and decipline is a must when one decide to be their own boss and work at home. Every second, you have to know what you are doing and what are you going to do. Most people will draw them a plan and put it in front of their computers so that they will be reminded on what’s important and what’s not. … After all success means determination, decipline and motivation.
