Hi All,

I am new to copywriting though I've done it many times for my employers. Now, I wish to do copywriting as a partime cash generator. How can i attend workshops to enhance my skills in copywriting and what are the rates :

1. Fresh pages
2. Editing required for an existing article
3. Assignment based - for websites..

Thank you

Hi Sarah,

Yup, success does not come overnight. Certainly with dedication and preserverance one could succeed in whatever job they choose including in the field of copywriting. Am I right? I think you are.

Thanks for dropping by and share your thoughts here.

Hi Rosli,
It's the familiar problem that all new writers find - they spend more time looking for work, promoting themselves, marketing their services etc than actually doing any writing. I get most of my work from previous contacts and recommendations, and it obviously takes years to get a good name for yourself in the industry

I think it's an error to pay to get contacts too - If someone wants your services, and you're good enough, they'll find you.

Sarah

Don't sell yourself short

Hi there. As an internet copywriter by trade I know just how difficult it can be to land good internet copywriting jobs. A lot of copywriters join writing jobs boards and end up writing articles for $2 and $3, when there are $50 articles out there waiting to be written.

I'm not knocking the writings jobs boards - I've built my career on them - but there are a lot of things you need to know before you can bid on writing jobs that pay well, and actually win those jobs.

Chances are if you find a good buyer once they will provide you with increasingly more lucrative work. I posted my tips for getting the copywriting jobs that (hopefully) won't exploit us writers on my writing blog at:
