Rosli M Hanip as business
Believe it or not Web 2.0 tools, such as wikis, social networks and blogs, will soon be playing a bigger role in the business environment. It is no longer just tools for leisure but for business as well. It is said these technologies offer opportunities for organizations to improve their infra-office and inter-office collaboration by enabling easier and more efficient avenues of communication over the traditional phone, fax and meeting room.
Database giant Oracles Corp. said a study showed that 30% of large companies worldwide already or are close to having some form of WEB 2.0 enabled business initiative underway by now. This is what being reported here, Oracle will launch its WebCenter Suite on 31 January, a Fusion middleware component first announced at OracleWorld in October last year.
So the challenge this year, it said, will be for these organizations to distill meaningful information from these new communications systems. So we are not far from the giant companies are thinking and we are already in the perspective of the new environment well ahead from the corporate companies with our blogging and social networking activities.
One of the biggest and most persistent challenges to businesses continues to be the meshing of a variety of applications from different vendors and the connecting of disparate pieces of data.
This is what we are going to do and achieve at Marketing 2.0 Pioneers at my previous post below.
