Rosli M Hanip as business
In general all businesses, either big or small, that start corporate blogs want them to be successful. And while quality content and eye-catching graphics are an extremely important part of the blog, it can be the smaller things that get overlooked. When writing for your blog, take into consideration the following details:
- Use your “voice” or in other words your own words and thoughts. No one talks or writes like you do. Keep your tone conversational and easy to understand. DO not use big words or big jargons. Using a personal tone put readers at ease and encourages them to return each time your blog is updated. Remember this tip - even if it is a corporate blog, it is personal. Put your personality behind your words. Like many people are saying “be yourself”.
- If you don’t feel qualified to write a blog, hire someone to do it.
- Update your blog on a regular basis. Blogs are very time sensitive - no one wants to read old news. Make sure what you have to say is timely and relevant to your audience.
- Add links to other articles and sites that can expand upon ideas or back up your theories. Relevant information that is succinctly presented will encourage your readers to return.
- Read the comments posted to your blog entries. Because they can be considered an “online discussion”, you will find valuable information in the feedback and comments you receive from your clients, business partners, and guest bloggers.
- Track your blog postings and get to know the regulars on your site. If something is leaked or presented in an unfavorable light, you will want to be at the ready to head off the attack.
- Reconsider keeping all your company information private. Sometimes letting a bit of the cat out of the bag piques the interest of readers who want to learn more. A click could lead to a call and . . . well, you know the rest
Note: “Let the cat out of the bag” phrase means “reveal a secret” but let’s learn more about the phrase, let the cat out of the bag here. Knowledge is a great accent to a successful blogging activity.
Guys, the cat is out of the bag using this great strategy. Check it out!

1Hey Rosli!
Thanks for the mention here!
Great use of the phrase as well!
My strategy with my blog is that I also use another website (YouTube) as not only a place to host my videos.. but as a funnel that helps attract people to my blog, where I am able to have a more personal experience with them.
ALSO.. don’t moderate comments.. let them flow.. only delete them if some are inappropriate.
