
Last night I had a brief discussion with my friend over coffee at Subang Jaya, “De Kayu Nasi Kandar” restaurant =) and this is what we discussed about blogging to boost your company or business.
If you run a small company or business, you may find that the world of blogging for business owners is a world that you want to be a part of. Blogging is a great way to get the word out to consumers about your product or service, and it can even be useful for inspiring employee loyalty and helping you keep your workers at peak morale. If you are looking for a way to take your business to the next level, consider what starting a blog might be able to do for you.
Blogging for business owners has a lot in common with all other types of blogging, but it has its own unique pitfalls and strengths. The key to having a successful blog as a business owner is keeping your goals clear and concrete at every step of your blogging adventure. It can be all to easy to get sidetracked, especially if you are just learning about the exciting possibilities of blogging technology, but if you want your blog to succeed you need to stay focused. Write up a plan, similar like having a business plan, for how often you will update, how you will promote your blog and retain readers, whether you will feature photographs or video, and other aspects of your blog, and then stick to it with the same kind of determination that you used when you built your company or business.
So this is what I learned last night and I will stay focus and to me I need to have variation in my blog. Because when it is all work and no play or side stories, make the blog some how very dull . . . am I right? (that is what I believe in). How about you? 1I agree with you that blogging for business, especially small and medium size, are very important as it is one of the way to promote your company and products.
Instead of promoting your product, blogging can also be used internally within an organization. A blog can be used as a knowledge centre where employees can share knowledge, and bosses can inform the employees about the latest update of the company through blogging too.
So I think blogging definitely can help a company!

2Excellent points. I think blogs can be a great way for business owners or managers to also keep in contact with their customer base, not just to keep them apprised of new products or services, but to expand upon the relationship they have already developed.
