Why do you read blogs? Some interesting question huh! Well, there are 10 reasons actually that I have gathered. Maybe there are more but I would like to highlight these 10 reasons:

Blogs are uncensored and unedited. People like to read a raw material, unedited content, unfiltered and uncensored by the mainstream media.
Blogs give you a voice. If you do not like an article in a newspaper, you could not react immediately. But blogs, yes you could instantly. Blogging is a people-to-people communications.
Some bloggers are saying blogs have superior content quality. For a certain topic like search engine optimization, blogs offer more late-breaking news and insight. The content is real and instant from the SEO expert.
Blogs are personal. Blog is a product of one individual working independently. Bloggers or writers express in their blogs whatever thoughts come to them that moment and communicate those thoughts instantly to their blog subscribers.
Blogs enable the reader to connect with the authority directly. Like a forum, blogs permit the creation of “threads”. In a thread, a commentator writes an opinion or statement, which is permanently posted on the Web.
Blogs provide intellectual stimulation. Many bloggers find the act of reading and posting on blogs to be intellectually engaging. When people commented on certain topic, it makes you to think to answer the comment. It stimulates your thinking skill.
The blogosphere is a community. The internet lend itself to the formation of “communities of interest”. It is a group of people with similar interests who congregate someplace on the Internet to share informations, exchange ideas, and talk about their favorite subject.
The Blog is a non-restricted publishing outlet. There are millions of people who have something to say or to share but have no means or medium to express out. Blogging gives these people a ready outlet for unlimited self expression at virtually no cost.
Blogs offer a greater level of immediacy and interaction than print media. A blogger with a story or a thought can disseminate the story or the thought in seconds. If in print media, it will take a week or two until next publication.
Blogs provide information not obtainable elsewhere. The blogosphere provides such a huge amount of information, cool tips, and personalities that it’s a little like visiting Manhattan: there’s so much energy and humanity. Or like visiting Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia: A lot of colors and happenings. (Just to promote Malaysia as well).
